Useful patterns, with the gaps left visible.
Current means 2026. Career classifications use roles marked current or Present in the research inputs. Historical positions are not treated as current employment.
Outcome charts are alumni-only. Current cohorts show origin, pre-YCA education, cohort composition, and data quality; post-YCA outcome graphics are deliberately hidden.
PhD is intentionally broad. It includes a completed doctorate, a current doctoral programme, or evidence that a doctorate was previously started.
Industry before YCA is conservative. It is derived only from work-related sentences in official entry biographies. Records without clear work evidence remain No pre-YCA work data.
Post-YCA PKU is excluded. Peking University is removed from post-YCA university additions, but genuine pre-YCA PKU attendance remains counted.
Counts are evidence-limited. “No PhD recorded” is not proof that no doctorate exists, and missing profiles are not silently converted into negative answers.
